  We had a gas insert installed a few years ago. Unit stopped working. Company sent the subcontractor they use AJ Bert out. Turned out to be dead batteries that were inside unit that we were not aware of. Changed batteries that we provided. Were here a whole 5 minutes and charged us 145 dollars. Yes, we were told that was the service fee to come out, but seriously? What has happened to giving customers an understandable break and customer service with honor, especially since they installed the unit at a cost close to five thousand. Shores Fireplace did agree to reimburse us 50 dollars, probably their cut for screwing us. Have plans to install another unit in future and will definitely not be using them. Update. As of March 8, have not seen 50 dollars they promised to reimburse. Stay clear of this place!

  The staff is nice and they seem to be the only game on the east side but be careful. The post order service is horrible. multiple follow up appointments confirmed and no one ever showed up. got tired of waitig and went elsewhere
